William Paparella, at the age of 18, starts a neon sign shop in the garage of his house serving the local mom and pop stores.
William's parents, Dom and Marguerite, join the company as partners. Their financial investment enables the company to move from the garage to its first commercial location in Central Islip, NY. The company is formally incorporated as Broadway Neon Corporation, and expands into a wholesale neon fabrication shop. William's fiancé, now wife, Christine joins the team as neon gas filler.
Broadway Neon Corporation expands to become a full service sign manufacturer including channel letters, cabinet signs, vinyl graphics, and more. Gradually growing the team wins various maintenance contracts for accounts like P.C Richard & Sons, Liberty Travel, and Jiffy Lube. William personally attends all PC Richard construction meetings to gain experience and industry knowledge.
Broadway Neon Corporation changes its official name to Broadway Neon Sign Corporation and moves into a larger facility
Broadway Neon Sign Corporation gains their first national account for Jos. A. Bank Clothiers & Levi's. The company soon expands and forms a national division named Broadway National for their Sign, Lighting & Electrical services. The company takes over Montego Bay Awning Company and renames it to Gold Coast Awning.
The company moves into their first self-owned facility at 2150 5th avenue, Ronkonkoma, NY 11779
William's father branches out and starts a permit expediting division for signs, interior renovations, and special inspections. Broadway completes its first multimillion dollar project for Motown Café at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL.
Broadway National successfully completes huge projects such as renovations at the Radio City Music Hall and the exterior signage project for the Reuters Building in NYC.
During Hurricane Katrina Broadway National helped a lot of their existing customers with services like board ups, sand bagging, water excavation etc. This resulted in formation of Servco National- Facility Services.
With growth in mind and determination to deliver WOW customer service, Broadway National expands and builds their new corporate headquarters in Ronkonkoma, NY along with multiple branch offices in Florida, Indiana, and Pennsylvania. During these years Broadway is also awarded the contract for all signage for Citi-Field, the home of the New York Mets
With the ever-growing demand for high-quality services, Broadway National on-boards trade expert Joe Jankowsky for HVAC services to continue to improve the class of service for customers.
