Connecting Doors .

This was a challenge of the Quilters Guild for the first all Quilt show in Birmingham in August 2003. Connections with the NEC highlighted was the theme.

My thought were of doors as a connection between in- and outside. I saw a photograph by Bruce Chatman of this orange door in a blue wood wall and "I was off"

It is all machine pieced and machine quilted, which imitates the woodgrain in the door and wall.

It was selected and a photograph and write up appeard in the exhibition catalogue..
