The Polder. The final piece of my City and Guild part 1. The brief was design in block patchwork a quilt with the design based on landscapes. I used an aerial photograph of farm fields in a polder. By mirror imaging and reversing the basic block the final design emerged. The pink cotton was hand-dyed, the other fabrics were commercially available.

Machine pieced. Hand quilted.
